It can be used as a pharmaceutical intermediate for the functional modification of biocompatible materials or nanocarriers. The PEG segment in its structure provides excellent water solubility and low immunogenicity, while the glutamic acid group endows the molecule with tunable carboxylic acid active sites, showing excellent reaction efficiency in reaction systems involving catalysts.
