SS-PEG-PMMA is a block copolymer containing disulfide bonds, which is formed by connecting polyethylene glycol (PEG) and poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) through a dynamic reversible disulfide bond. This compound combines the hydrophilicity of PEG and the hydrophobicity of PMMA. It can be used as an organic intermediate or a pharmaceutical intermediate, suitable for the construction of stimulus-responsive materials and the preparation of nano-carriers. It can also be used as a functional carrier platform in catalytic reactions.
